MUMBAI – Uno Minda Ltd. Saturday reported a double-digit year-on-year rise in net profit and revenue from operations for the March quarter. The company's net profit for the period was slightly above the Streets' view while the revenue was a near miss. 

 

The company's net profit for the March quarter was over 22% up on year at INR 3.26 billion. Analysts saw the company's net profit at INR 3.17 billion. The company's revenue for the reporting quarter was up nearly 18% on year at INR 53.36 billion. Analysts saw the company's net profit at INR 53.71 billion. 

 

The company's total expenses for the March quarter rose over 18% on year to INR 49.70 billion. The cost of materials consumed by the company during the quarter was up nearly 34% on year at INR 32.62 billion. The cost of materials consumed by the company was the highest component at 66% of the total expenses.

 

The company is looking to raise up to INR 25 billion through debt and equity. Uno Minda will invest up to INR 200 million in wholly-owned subsidiary Unominda EV Systems Pvt. Ltd. Uno Minda will also invest INR 3.1 billion in Uno Minda Auto Innovations Pvt. Ltd. which is looking to spend INR 5.5 billion on a project for manufacturing powertrain products for electronic vehicles.

 

The company will acquire a 19% stake in Minda Onkyo India Pvt. Ltd. at INR 0.68 per share. The company in September 2024 had acquired a 30% stake in Minda Onkyo. 

 

The company's net profit for the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar) was INR 11.97 billion, up 27% on year. The company's revenue for FY26 was INR 196.58, up 17% on year. 

 

Uno Minda's normalised consolidated net profit for FY26 was INR 11.66 billion, up 24% on year. The company's normalised revenue for FY26 was INR 195.89 billion, up 17% on year. The company will pay a final dividend of INR 1.75 per share, with May 29 as its record date.  

 

Friday, share of Uno Minda closed slightly lower at INR 1,121.80 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
