GQG Partners sells 0.5% stake in Adani Enterprises via block deal

MUMBAI – GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund Thursday sold 5.9 million shares in Adani Enterprises Ltd. at INR 2,435.6 apiece. The entire stake was bought by SBI Mutual Fund through a block deal. The total consideration for the deal was around INR 14.35 billion. 

 

As of Mar 31, GQG Partners held around 4% in Adani Enterprises, according to data available on the National Stock Exchange website. Shares of Adani Enterprises rallied 9% Thursday and closed at INR 2,712.90 on the NSE. 

 

Adani Enterprises posted a net loss for the March quarter as its overall expenses jumped on year. The company recorded a consolidated net loss of INR 2.21 billion for the March quarter, against a net profit of INR 38.45 million in the year-ago quarter.  End
