Siemens changes its financial year to Apr-Mar cycle

KOLKATA – Siemens Ltd. Thursday said it has received an order from the regional director of the western region directorate I of the corporate affairs ministry, approving the company's plan to change its financial year to the Apr-Mar cycle. So far, the Indian entity of German technology major Siemens AG was following the Oct-Sept cycle as its financial year.
In a notice to the bourses, Siemens said its board had approved changing the financial year in August. In its order, the ministry also approved Siemens's proposal to present an 18-month-long financial statement from Oct 2024 to March as a consequence of the change in its financial year.
For the December quarter, Siemens had reported a net profit of INR 2.77 billion on revenues of INR 38.31 billion. Thursday, its shares ended at INR 3,693.80 on the National Stock Exchange, up 4.6% from Wednesday. End
