KOLKATA – Market share gains across its portfolio, a surge in hair care business, and improving demand conditions, especially in rural markets, led Dabur India Ltd. to report an 11-quarter high on-year revenue growth in the March quarter, which lifted its profit growth to an eight-quarter high.

Consolidated sales rose over 7% on year to cross INR 30 billion, ahead of the Street's estimate, and the consolidated net profit increased over 15% on year to INR 3.69 billion in the March quarter, again marginally ahead of the Street's estimates. The company's business in India reported 9.5% on-year growth during the quarter.

The operating profit of the company's India business rose 12.5% during the quarter, reflecting strong execution in the domestic consumer goods business and healthy underlying volume growth of 6%. Consolidated sales for the year ended March saw 5% growth at nearly INR 132 billion, while the consolidated net profit for the year was up over 7% on year at nearly INR 19 billion.

In the March quarter, rural markets continued to outpace urban consumption with rural demand growing ahead of urban India by 350 basis points.

"We delivered a resilient performance during the fourth quarter of 2025–26 (Apr-Mar) on the back of proactive supply chain diversification by way of opening alternative supply routes to key geographies, disciplined cost controls, and calibrated price increases, combined with strong brand-led consumer engagement," Dabur's Global Chief Executive Officer Mohit Malhotra said in a statement.

Malhotra said that the gap between rural and urban growth has narrowed significantly compared to December 2025, reflecting a more balanced consumption recovery. Within urban India, e-commerce and modern trade have been driving demand, growing 49% and 19%, respectively. Quick-commerce is driving the online business, posting growth of 54%. "This channel was a major contributor to our Foods business, which grew by 30% in the March quarter," he said.

"We will continue to double down on emerging channels, which serve as the incubators for Dabur's innovation and premium products. As part of this initiative, we have launched SIENS, Dabur's first online only direct-to-consumer nutraceutical brand, which is showing great consumer traction. We continue to invest heavily behind this brand," Malhotra said.

Dabur's consolidated operating margin in the March quarter was 15.20%, against 15.08% in the year-ago quarter.

CATEGORY GROWTH

Dabur's hair care portfolio grew about 27% on year during the quarter, led by the hair oils business, which reported 28% on-year growth. The home care business posted over 24% on-year growth, while the digestives business ended the quarter with around 15% on-year growth.

Dabur's skin and salon business grew over 12% on year, while the toothpaste category was up over 7%. The over-the-counter and ethicals business also ended the March quarter with 7% on-year increase in revenue. The Badshah brand portfolio recorded 12% growth on year during the quarter.

The consumer care business grew over 8% on year to over INR 24.44 billion and international revenues grew 2.5% on year to over INR 8 billion. The foods business revenue grew marginally on year to over INR 5 billion in the March quarter but the home and personal care business grew nearly 17% on year to over INR 10 billion in India. Domestic healthcare sales increased over 2% to over INR 5 billion and food and beverage sales in India increased over 3% on year to over INR 4 billion in the March quarter.

"The company's business fundamentals remain robust, with brands across honey, health juices, digestives, oral care, hair care, healthcare, air fresheners and foods reporting strong gains during the quarter," Malhotra said.

Dabur reported market share gains across 95% of its portfolio. The company posted 154 basis points of gain in hair oils market share in the March quarter and its market share in digestives products rose 233 basis points. The company also gained 250 basis points of market share in the fruit nectars category and 136 basis points in the 100% juices category. Air-freshener market share posted a gain of 166 basis points in the March quarter.

Despite facing headwinds in West Asia, Dabur's international business grew 2.5% on year during the March quarter, led by a 20% on-year growth in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. The UK and European Union region grew 10%, Bangladesh grew 22%, and US grew over 6% during the March quarter on a year-on-year basis.

The company's board proposed dividend of INR 5.50 per share. The record date for the final dividend is Jul. 17. On Thursday, shares of Dabur closed 0.8% higher at INR 470.00 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
