Andhra official allows Allied Blenders to get licence for mfg foreign liquor

NEW DELHI – Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd. Wednesday said an Andhra Pradesh excise department official had given approval to the company to obtain a licence to make Indian-made foreign liquor. This will allow Allied Blenders to set up a greenfield Indian-made foreign liquor bottling plant in the state with an annual capacity of around 4.65 million cases, the company said in an exchange filing Wednesday.
For the December quarter, Allied Blenders and Distillers reported a consolidated net profit of INR 664.79 million on revenue of INR 19.34 billion. On Wednesday, shares of the company ended at INR 544.80 on the National Stock Exchange, up over 1%. End
