ICICI Pru AMC to replace Gujarat State Petronet in BSE 500, other indices

MUMBAI – ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co. Ltd. will replace Gujarat State Petronet Ltd. in the BSE 500 index from May 12, BSE Index Services said in a notice Tuesday. This follows Gujarat State Petronet's merger into Gujarat Gas, which was approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs last week.
As part of the merger scheme, Gujarat State Petroleum Corp., Gujarat State Petronet Ltd., and GSPC Energy Ltd. are being merged into Gujarat Gas Ltd. With this, Gujarat State Petronet will be removed from several indices including BSE 500, BSE 1000, and BSE 150 Midcap. ICICI Prudential will be added to several of these indices. Further, Indraprastha Gas will replace Gujarat State Petronet in the BSE 250 Smallcap and BSE Smallcap 500 indices. End
