--GST demand on UCO Bank cut to INR 48.6 mln from INR 14.73 bln
NEW DELHI – UCO Bank Tuesday said a goods and services tax demand of INR 14.73 billion has been lowered to INR 48.6 million following an appeal filed by the bank.
"The GST demand order passed by the Additional Commissioner, CGST, Mumbai South Commissionerate, we hereby inform that the appeal filed by the Bank before the Office of the Commissioner of GST & CX (Appeals-I), Mumbai has now been disposed of by the Appellate Authority vide order dated April 24, 2026, received by the Bank on May 4, 2026," UCO Bank said in an exchange filing.
The public sector bank reported a net profit of INR 8 billion for the March quarter, up 23% on year. Shares of the lender Tuesday ended 0.6% lower at INR 26.48 on the National Stock Exchange. End
