--J Kumar Infra MD gets summons to appear before special judge in Jaipur 

MUMBAI – J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. Monday said a court in Jaipur has issued summons to its managing director, Kamal Gupta, but neither the company nor the official has details of the underlying complaint or proceedings. The summons, dated Apr. 7, was issued on a complaint filed by an officer of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office. Gupta received the summons Monday.

"At this stage, based on the limited information presently available, it appears that the matter is at a preliminary and nascent stage, and no action, direction, or order has been issued by the concerned authority," the company said in an exchange filing. The company is currently unable to determine the nature of the particulars of any alleged aberration, non-compliance, penalty, restriction, or sanction, and the potential financial or operational implications because of the development.

For the December quarter on a consolidated basis, J. Kumar Infraprojects had reported a net profit of INR 828.48 million on revenues of INR 13.12 billion. Monday, its shares closed slightly lower at INR 518.50 on the National Stock Exchange.   End
