Balrampur Chini crushes 10.43 mln tn of sugarcane in 2025-26 season, up 5%

MUMBAI – Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. crushed 10.43 million tonnes of sugarcane in the 2025-26 sugar season (Oct-Sept), 5% higher than the previous season. The company's 10 units had crushed 9.92 million tonnes of sugarcane in 2024-25, it said in an exchange filing Saturday. All its 10 mills have concluded crushing operations for the season, it added.
The company produced net sugar--the sugar recovered after sacrifice under B-heavy molasses or syrup routes--of 968,000 tonnes, up nearly 5% on year. The company diverted 56% of total sugarcane crushed towards B-heavy molasses route in the sugar season, up from 51% diverted last season.
For the quarter ended December, Balarampur Chini reported a net profit of INR 1.07 billion on revenues of INR 14.54 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 521.05 on the National Stock Exchange. Equity markets were closed Friday on account of Maharashtra Day. End
