--Coal India gets INR 4 bln order to set up battery energy storage system

 

MUMBAI – Coal India Ltd. Thursday told exchanges it has received an order worth INR 4 billion from Gridco Ltd. to set up a 320 megawatt per hour battery energy storage system plant in Odisha. The company is expected to complete the execution of the project within 18 months from signing the battery energy storage purchase agreement.

 

The company will execute the project in two clusters, it said in a filing with the exchanges. The first cluster will be at Padampur and Bolangir, while the second cluster will be at Bhatli and Basta, according to the filing.

 

For the quarter ended March, Coal India reported consolidated net profit of INR 108.39 billion on revenues of INR 464.90 billion. Thursday, shares of the company ended marginally higher at INR 481.45 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
