MUMBAI – Bharat Forge Ltd. Thursday said it will buy a 30% stake in Fortuna Engineering Pvt. Ltd. for INR 1.30 billion. Fortuna Engineering manufactures machined connecting rods, camshafts, and fixtures for automotive and off-road applications, according to an exchange filing by Bharat Forge.
Bharat Forge has an option to buy 20% additional stake in Fortuna. "The acquisition is in line with the Company's strategy to strengthen its machining capabilities and forward integration. It is expected to enhance value addition, and support growth in domestic and export markets," Bharat Forge said in the filing.
Fortuna had reported sales worth INR 3.23 billion in 2024-25 (Apr-Mar) and net worth of 1.73 bilion. Bharat Forge reported consolidated net profit of INR 2.93 billion for the December quarter on consolidated revenue of INR 43.43 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 1,881.60 on the National Stock Exchange, down more than 1%. End
