Chambal Fert to begin making ammonium nitrate at Rajasthan plant by May 31

NEW DELHI – Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. Wednesday said it expects to begin production of key intermediary products at its plant at Gadepan in Rajasthan from May 15. Further, it plans full-scale output of prilled high-density ammonium nitrate by May 31.
"Commissioning activities are in progress with product intermediaries namely, Weak Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate Solution Melt to commence production from May 15, 2026, culminating into production of prilled High Density Ammonium Nitrate by May 31, 2026," the company said in an exchange filing.
The project, being set up at the company's existing facility at Gadepan, includes a plant to manufacture technical ammonium nitrate along with a unit to make weak nitric acid.
For the December quarter, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals had reported a net profit of INR 5.65 billion on a revenue of INR 58.98 billion. Wednesday, its shares ended 0.5% up at INR 450.55 on the National Stock Exchange. End
