NEW DELHI – Lodha Developers Ltd. late Friday reported an over 9% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter. The company's on-year top line growth was at a four-quarter low. Both revenue and net profit for Jan-Mar surpassed analysts' estimates.  

 

The real estate major's consolidated net profit for the March quarter was INR 10.08 billion, up 9.4% on year and up 5.3% on quarter. Analysts had estimated the company's consolidated net profit at INR 8.83 billion. This was the eighth straight quarter of a year-on-year increase in the company's net profit.

 

The company's consolidated revenue from operations was up nearly 12% on year at INR 47.14 billion. Analysts had estimated Lodha Developers' revenue at INR 46.41 billion. In the March quarter, the company reduced its net debt by INR 8 billion to INR 53.77 billion. 

 

"This is the first time that we have achieved more than 20,000 crores (INR 200 billion) of pre-sales for the year and yet, our market share is only ~3.5% (in value terms) out of the primary housing sales in the top 6 cities in India, indicating long growth runway ahead," Abhishek Lodha, managing director and chief executive officer, Lodha Developers, said in a press release. 

 

The company's pre-sales added up to INR 58.9 billion for the March quarter, up 23% on year. Its total expenses grew slowest in four quarters, up nearly 11% on year at INR 35.79 billion. The real estate developer's cost of projects for the quarter was up nearly 8% on year ar INR 27.60 billion. This was also the slowest growth in four quarters, and accounted for nearly 77% of the total expenses. 

 

The company's expenses for employee benefits were up more than 24% on year at INR 1.64 billion. The company's finance costs grew more than 10% on year to INR 1.67 billion. The company's adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation were INR 16.5 billion, up 13% on year. The company's adjusted EBITDA margin for the March quarter was 35%, up 40 basis points. 

 

The company's embedded EBITDA margin was 34% in the March quarter. The company added one project in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area with a gross development value of INR 13 billion. The company handed over 1,759 units in the March quarter. The company's Jan-Mar collections were at INR 51.8 billion. 

 

For the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the company's consolidated net profit was INR 34.28 billion, up 24% on year, and its revenue from operations was INR 166.76 billion, up 21%. For FY26, the company's embedded EBITDA margin was 33%. The company will pay a final dividend of INR 4.25 per equity share for FY26. 

 

For FY27, the company's pre-sales guidance is INR 240 billion. The FY27 embedded EBITDA margin guidance is at 32-34%. 

 

Friday, shares of Lodha Developers closed nearly 2% lower at INR 840.70 on the National Stock Exchange. End
