Jio Fincl allots 250 mln shrs to promoter cos; total promoter shr up at 49%

MUMBAI – Jio Financial Services Ltd. Tuesday said it has allotted 250 million shares to two promoter group entities after converting warrants issued earlier on a preferential basis, as per an exchange filing. Shares were allotted at a face value of INR 10 each and a premium of INR 306.50 per share to Sikka Ports & Terminals Ltd. and Jamnagar Utilities & Power Pvt. Ltd., it said. 

 

Following the allotment, Sikka Ports' shareholding in Jio Financial increased to 2.9% from 1.1% earlier and that of Jamnagar Utilities increased to 3.8% from over 2% earlier. With this, promoters and promoter group entities together hold 49.1% stake in Jio Financial, up from 47.1% earlier.

 

For the March quarter, the company had reported consolidated net profit of INR 2.72 billion on revenues of INR 10.19 billion. At 1325 IST, shares of Jio Financial traded nearly 1% lower at INR 235 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
