KOLKATA - Firstsource Solutions Ltd. Thursday said it has launched Kairos, an embedded intelligence engine that designs, builds, and operates agentic workflows across the full arc of enterprise transformation in a single, continuous motion.

"Organizations today don't face a shortage of AI (artificial intelligence) ambition — they face a surplus of it. And yet the gap between what AI can do and what enterprises actually get in production keeps widening. The barrier has never been the technology. It is the operating model," Ritesh Idnani, chief executive officer and managing director at Firstsource, said in a statement. 

The spread between enterprises that are winning with AI and those still waiting for it to work has reached 540 basis points in operational performance, and the gap is widening, according to the statement. 

The dividing line is not access to technology, but whether an organisation has fundamentally re-engineered how work gets done or is still layering AI on to legacy structures and hoping for different results, the company said.

For the December quarter, on a consolidated basis, Firstsource had reported a net profit of INR 1.20 billion on revenues of INR 24.67 billion. Thursday, its shares ended nearly 11% higher at INR 244.22 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
