Wipro OKs share buyback of INR 150 billion at 19% premium to Thursday's close

--Wipro to buy back shares worth INR 150 bln at INR 250 per share
MUMBAI – Information technology major Wipro Ltd. said its board has approved a share buyback of INR 150 billion at INR 250 per share, or a premium of 19% to the share's closing price Thursday. The board approved buying back up to 600 million shares of face value INR 2, or 5.7% of the total number of equity shares.
For the March quarter, on a consolidated basis, Wipro reported a net profit of INR 35.02 billion on revenues of INR 242.36 billion. Its shares closed slightly higher at INR 210.26 on the National Stock Exchange. End
