MUMBAI – HDFC Asset Management Co. Ltd. recorded a 12% on-year growth in its assets under management to INR 8.44 trillion as of Mar. 31, while its quarter's average assets under management as on Mar. 31 was INR 9.28 trillion, up nearly 20%. The company's market share as of Mar. 31 was 11.4%, down from 11.5% a year ago.

 

HDFC Asset Management's systematic investment plan assets under management were at INR 15.1 trillion as of Mar. 31, up from INR 13.4 trillion a year ago. Its equity closing assets under management were INR 5.21 trillion as on Mar. 31, up 11% on year, and debt closing assets under management were INR 1.64 trillion as of Mar. 31, up 5% on year. 

 

 

The liquid closing assets under management of HDFC Asset Management were at INR 614 billion as on Mar.31, up 3% on year. The company also said that 68% of its total monthly average assets under management for March were contributed by individual investors compared with 60% for the industry.

 

 

Thursday, the company announced its earnings for the March quarter, wherein it posted net profit of INR 6.23 billion, down over 2% on year and over 19% on quarter. HDFC Asset Management's revenue from operations rose to INR 10.50 billion, up nearly 17% on year.

 

Thursday, the shares of the company closed at INR 2,662 on the National Stock Exchange, down marginally.  End
