A western disturbance lies to the northwest of the country, and an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over north Haryana, the weather bureau said. These weather systems, along with the east-west trough, are likely to cause light to moderate rainfall or snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over several parts of northwest India till Sunday, it said. Hailstorms are also likely over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh on Friday.
