Production at Tata Motors plant in Lucknow crosses 1 million mark

MUMBAI – Tata Motors Ltd. Wednesday said its plant in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has manufactured more than 1 million units, 34 years after it was established. The facility has an annual production capacity of over 100,000 units.
Vehicles manufactured at the Lucknow plant are sold in India and abroad. Tata Motors manufactures a range of cargo and passenger commercial vehicles across multiple powertrains, including next-generation zero-emission electric buses and trucks and fuel cell electric vehicles, at the unit.
For the December quarter, the company had reported a net profit of INR 5.61 billion on a revenue of INR 204.04 billion. Wednesday, its shares closed 1.3% higher at INR 435.20 on the National Stock Exchange. End
