--Kompella VR Murty takes charge as whole time member of SEBI
MUMBAI – Kompella Venkata Ramana Murty took charge as whole-time member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Wednesday, the markets regulator said in a press release. Murty will hold the post for three years, the Department of Economic Affairs had said while approving his appointment in March.
Murty is a 1991-batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Services and has served as additional controller general of defence accounts, principal integrated financial adviser for the Indian Air Force, financial adviser at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, and joint secretary at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. He was awarded the Raksha Mantri Award for Excellence in 2024. End
