MUMBAI – Power Finance Corp. Ltd. Tuesday said its subsidiary, PFC Consulting Ltd., has incorporated four special purpose vehicles as wholly-owned subsidiaries to help with the bid process of four transmission projects. PFC Consulting was selected as the bid-purpose coordinator for the development of transmission projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka.

Babai Transmission Ltd. and Bikaner Transmission Ltd. will complete the preparatory activities for two 765 kV projects in Rajasthan. Further, Humnabad Power Transmission Ltd. and Hebbani Power Transmission Ltd. will look at two 400 kV projects in Bidar and Mandya districts of Karnataka, the company said in a filing to bourses.

As a bid-process coordinator, PFC Consulting will prepare a profile of the projects and start the process of land acquisition and forest clearances. The company will also oversee the selection of a developer through the Ministry of Power's tariff-based competitive bidding process for these transmission projects. 

At 1309 IST, shares of the company were over 2% higher at INR 442.80 on the National Stock Exchange. For the December quarter, the company reported a net profit of INR 47.63 billion on revenues of INR 146.56 billion.  End
