MUMBAI – ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co. Ltd.'s net profit rose on year in the March quarter, helped by a healthy growth in revenue from operations and a fall in total expenses. The company posted a net profit of INR 7.63 billion in the March quarter, up over 10% on year. The asset management company's revenue from operations rose nearly 20% on year to INR 15.17 billion, while its total expenses declined nearly 4% to INR 3.89 billion.
ICICI Prudential Asset's other expenses fell 19% on year to INR 1.17 billion. Its mutual fund quarterly average assets under management were at INR 11.05 trillion as on Mar. 31, up nearly 26% from a quarter ago.
The company's other income for the March quarter was a negative INR 893 million. In its post-earnings press conference, management said this was due to mark-to-market losses, as the equity market posted weak returns during the quarter. The company had recorded other income of INR 510 million in the year-ago quarter and INR 1.09 billion in the December quarter.
The company's operating profit before tax for the March quarter was INR 11.28 billion, up over 30% on year. ICICI Prudential Asset's quarterly average assets under management were at INR 11.78 trillion as of March. 31, up over 2% on quarter and nearly 25% on year.
ICICI Prudential Asset's revenue from operations during the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar) was INR 57.65 billion, up over 23% on year. Its net profit during the year was INR 32.98 billion, up over 24% on year.
ICICI Prudential Asset announced a final dividend of INR 12.40 per share. Monday, shares of the company ended 1% lower at INR 3,353.50 on the National Stock Exchange. The company reported its March-quarter results after market hours. End
