MUMBAI - In a push to bolster India's textile sector, the government has approved 52 fresh applications, with an investment of INR 67.08 billion, under the third round of the production-linked incentive scheme for textiles, a government release said Friday.
The approvals span across key segments, including five for man-made fibre apparel, 19 for man-made fibre fabrics, 18 for technical textiles, and 10 across multiple categories. These investment target an expected turnover of INR 211.86 billion.
Officials expect these moves to supercharge domestic manufacturing, foster innovation, and elevate India's stature in the global textile arena, with a special focus on man-made fibre fabrics, apparel, and technical textiles. End
