Govt ups fertiliser plants natural gas allocation to 95% of avg consumption

MUMBAI – The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has raised the allocation of natural gas to fertiliser plants to 95% of their average consumption in the last six months, effective Thursday, government officials said at the daily inter-ministerial briefing on West Asia Wednesday.
Based on the available inventory and scheduled liquefied petroleum gas cargo arrivals, the overall gas allocation to fertiliser plants is being further enhanced by 5% to reach approximately 95% of their six-month average consumption.
Previously, the ministry had increased the overall gas supply availability to fertiliser plants to approximately 90% of their average consumption over the preceding six months, which was effective Monday onwards. This was announced in the daily inter-ministerial briefing on West Asia on Apr. 4. End
