Gallantt Ispat steel output rises 9% YoY in Q4; pellet production surges

NEW DELHI – Gallantt Ispat Ltd.'s steel production rose 9% on year to 240,000 tonnes for the quarter ended March. The company's steel sales also increased 9% on year to 230,000 million tonnes during the quarter. Its capacity utilisation was 91% in the quarter.
The company's pellet production surged 59% on year to 221,612 tonnes, while sponge iron output rose 38% to 244,555 tonnes. Billet and mild steel bar production grew 9% on year each to 235,212 tonnes and 210,243 tonnes, respectively. The company generated 223,789 mega units of power, up 14% on year.
For the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), Gallantt Ispats' steel production rose 3% on year to 880,000 tonnes, while sales increased 3% on year to 850,000 tonnes, with capacity utilisation at 86%.
Gallantt Ispat's pellet production for the year rose 37% on year to 818,865 tonnes, and sponge iron output increased 21% to 914,749 tonnes. Billet and mild steel bar production grew 3% on year each to 883,400 tonnes and 787,593 tonnes, respectively.
In sales, billet dispatches rose 30% on year for the March quarter to 19,377 tonnes, while mild steel bar sales increased 8% on year to 207,563 tonnes. For FY26, billet sales rose 18% on year, and mild bar sales were up 2% on year.
Monday, shares of Gallantt Ispat closed 1.6% higher at INR 564.60 on the National Stock Exchange. For the December quarter, Gallantt Ispat had reported a net profit of INR 1 billion on revenues of INR 10.74 billion. End
