--IRFC gives INR 10 bln term loan to Maharashtra State Power Generation Co

MUMBAI – Indian Railway Finance Corp. Monday said that it has sanctioned and fully disbursed a loan of INR 10 billion to Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. The loan is expected to strengthen the power generation company's operational capabilities, IRFC said in an exchange filing.

IRFC will continue to deepen its engagement across infrastructure sectors while maintaining financial discipline, the company's Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar Dubey said. IRFC is looking to fund a host of commercial projects in 2026-27 (Apr–Mar), moving away from just extending financing only to Indian Railways.

IRFC has set an internal target to disburse INR 300 billion-INR 400 billion in FY27, compared with the INR-300-billion disbursement target for FY26, Informist had reported, citing a company official. 

For the December quarter, IRFC had reported a net profit of INR 18.02 billion on a revenue of INR 66.61 billion. Shares of IRFC Monday ended nearly 1% higher at INR 92.72 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
