MUMBAI – US President Donald Trump early Thursday said the US would hit Iran extremely hard in the next two-three weeks. "I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America's military objectives shortly — very shortly. We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We are going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong. In the meantime, discussions are ongoing...We have all the cards; they have none," he said, accoridng to a statement put out by the White House.

In an address to the nation, he said the airforce and navy of Iran had been weakened significantly. He said, "Tonight, Iran's navy is GONE. Their air force is in ruins. Their leaders, most of them — the terrorist regime they led — are now dead. Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Core is being decimated as we speak."

Trump also highlighted other aspects of the operation that have affected the overall capability of Iranian military to carry out operations. "Their ability to launch missiles and drones is dramatically curtailed and their weapons, factories, and rocket launchers are being blown to pieces — very few of them left," he said.

The operation has been successful in restricting Iran's ability to threaten America or have any sort of influence outside its border. Trump also expressed disappointment with countries that did not participate in the operation and said countries that couldn't buy fuel should buy it from America. He asked them to show some "delayed courage" by going to the Strait of Hormuz and taking it themselves.

"Iran has been esentially decimated," Trump said.  End
