South Indian Bk's advances rise 15.7% on yr as of Mar 31; deposits up 14.7%

NEW DELHI – South Indian Bank's gross advances grew 15.7% on year to INR 1.01 trillion as of Tuesday. The bank's total deposits rose 14.7% on year at INR 1.23 trillion as of end-March, according to the provisional figures released by the bank Wednesday.
The Kerala-based lender's current account savings account ratio rose 75 basis points on year to 32.12% as of end-March. The ratio was 31.84% a quarter ago.
Shares of the bank Wednesday ended 6.3% higher at INR 36.36 on the National Stock Exchange. For the quarter ended December, the bank had reported a net profit of INR 3.74 billion, up 9.5% on year. End
