Eicher Motors sells 1.24 mln units of Royal Enfield in FY26, sets record

AHMEDABAD – Eicher Motors Ltd. sold over 1.2 million units of Royal Enfield motorcycles in the financial year ended Mar. 31, the highest-ever in a year, the company said in a notice to the stock exchanges Wednesday. Royal Enfield is a global player in the mid-size motorcycle segment.
The company sold 1.24 million Royal Enfield motorcycles in 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), up 23% from the previous year. Exports for the year were up 23% at 131,316 units.
"As we move into the new financial year and continue our 125th year journey, we remain focussed on the future with new product launches, new platforms, and the launch of the Flying Flea C6. Our endeavour is simple: to keep growing in a way that stays true to who we are as we build a global motorcycling brand from India," B. Govindrajan, managing director of Eicher Motors and chief executive officer of Royal Enfield, said in a statement accompanying the notice.
In the month of March, Eicher Motors sold 97,933 units of Royal Enfield with engine capacity of up to 350 cubic centimetres, up nearly 12% from a year ago. Sale of motorcycles with engine capacity higher than 350cc were up 5% at 14,401 units. The company's total motorcycle sales in the domestic market were up 11% on year at 112,334 units in March. However, exports fell 8% year-on-year to 11,928 units during the month.
For the quarter ended December, Eicher Motors had, on a consolidated basis, reported a net profit of INR 14.21 billion on a revenue of INR 61.14 billion. On the National Stock Exchange, its shares closed 3.6% higher at INR 6,825.50. End
