MUMBAI – Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd. announced Wednesday that its iron ore volumes for the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar) were more than double the annual production volume in FY25, according to provisional data released by the company.

The company said provisional iron ore production for FY26 stood at 21.96 million tonnes, up 120% on year, with a 529% year-on-year increase in the segment for the March quarter to 9.1 million tonnes. Production increased after the commissioning of a slurry pipeline that helps to evacuate the mineral more efficiently. The company is now set to produce 26 million tonnes of iron ore in FY27, Lloyds Metals said in an exchange filing.

The company's direct reduced iron production for FY26 stood at 483,592 tonnes, up 57% on year. Lloyds Metals also commissioned a 4 million-tonnes-per-annum pellet plant, which produced 3.03 million tonnes in FY26 with an annualised capacity utilisation of 100%.

The company has a direct reduced iron manufacturing capacity of 700,000 tonnes per annum spread across two locations in Maharashtra. It also has an 85 km slurry pipeline from Hedri to Konsari and a 4 million-tonnes-per-annum pellet plant at Konsari.

For the December quarter, Lloyds Metals had, on a consolidated basis, reported a net profit of INR 10.47 billion on a revenue of INR 50.58 billion. At 1420 IST, its shares were 4.4% higher at INR 1,327.20 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
