NEW DELHI – Hyundai Motor India Ltd. Wednesday said wholesale sales of its automobiles in March rose only 2.5% on year to 69,004 units, mainly because of a 10% on-year drop in exports at 13,940 units, even as domestic sales grew 6% on year to 55,064 units. "While we stay mindful of the prevailing geopolitical uncertainties, Hyundai Motor India is well prepared for a strong FY2026–27," the company said in an exchange filing.

The Creta maker sold 208,275 cars in the March quarter, up almost 9% on year. Domestic sales in the final quarter of 2025-26 (Apr-Mar) grew nearly 9% on year to 166,578 units and exports rose 9% on year to 41,697 units. Domestic sales in both the March quarter and in March were at record highs for the company.

"We remain confident of sustaining the pace with upcoming product interventions like our recently upgraded Hyundai VERNA and EXTER," Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarun Garg said in a release.

For the December quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 12.34 billion on revenue of INR 179.73 billion. At 1147 IST, its shares traded nearly 3% lower at INR 1,730.30.  End
