--Uttar Pradesh allots 154 acre land to Escorts Kubota for greenfield project 

 

NEW DELHI – Escorts Kubota Ltd. said in an exchange filing on Tuesday that Uttar Pradesh's Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has allotted it about 154 acres of land in Gautam Buddha Nagar wherein the company will set up a greenfield project to enhance production capacity. 

 

The company had on Feb. 10 announced plans to increase its production capacity through investment of up to INR 5.93 billion. The company currently has capacity to produce 170,000 tractors and 10,000 units of construction equipment a year. 

 

Escorts Kubota had reported a net profit of INR 3.62 billion for the December quarter on revenue of INR 32.61 billion. On Tuesday, its shares closed nearly a percent higher from previous close at INR 2,899.80 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
