AHMEDABAD - Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. Friday announced an increase in prices of passenger vehicles with internal combustion engine by an average 0.5% from Apr. 1. The price hike would vary across models and variants.

 

In a notice to stock exchanges, the company said it was undertaking this revision to "partially offset the continued increase in input costs". The company did not share any specifics with regards to either pricing or inputs for which it claimed costs had increased.

 

On Mar. 16, Tata Motors Ltd., which houses the commercial vehicles business of Tata Group, had announced increase in prices of its commercial vehicles by up to 1.5?fective Apr. 1. The company said the prices were being increased to partially offset the impact of rising commodity prices and other input costs.

 

For the quarter ended December, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported a net profit of INR 5.61 billion on revenue of INR 204.04 billion. On the National Stock Exchange, shares of the company closed 1.6% higher at INR 314.10.  End
