--Tata Comm: Hong Kong arm incorporated JV with China co in Shanghai 

 

NEW DELHI – Tata Communications Ltd. Wednesday said its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary Tata Communications Hong Kong Ltd. incorporated a joint venture entity TC (Shanghai) Technology Co. Ltd. in China on Thursday, along with Shanghai Runshengtong Management Consulting Co. Ltd.

 

Both the partners will hold equal shareholding in the joint venture. Each partner will contribute 5 million Chinese yuan (about INR 67.43 million), taking the total subscription cost to 10 million Chinese yuan (about INR 134.86 million). Tata Communications Hong Kong will hold 50% of capital of TC Shanghai.

 

Tata Communication said TC Shanghai will operate in the telecommunications services sector and provide end-to-end technology services, including development, consulting, and system integration. 

 

For the December quarter, Tata Communications had reported consolidated net profit of INR 3.65 billion on revenue of INR 61.89 billion. Wednesday, shares of the company ended at INR 1,496.70 on the National Stock Exchange, up 4.30%.   End
