--Kirloskar Ferrous: Solapur unit ops disrupted on LPG shortages

MUMBAI – One of the two high-pressure moulding lines at Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd.'s plant at Solapur in Maharashtra has been closed starting Tuesday until further notice, the company informed the stock exchanges. The company cited the shortage of liquefied petroleum gas due to global energy supply chain disruptions amid the continuing military conflict in West Asia as the reason for the suspension of manufacturing operations.

The company said it has been monitoring the crisis in the LPG supply chain and exploring alternative sources of supply or energy to minimise the impact of disruption.

For the December quarter on a consolidated basis, Kirloskar Ferrous had reported a net profit of INR 533.2 million on a revenue of INR 16.18 billion. Tuesday, its shares closed nearly 1% lower at INR 361.35 on BSE.  End
