--Maruti Suzuki gets income tax demand of INR 57.86 bln; co to file objection
MUMBAI – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has received a draft assessment order of INR 57.86 billion from the Income Tax Authority for 2022-23 (Apr-Mar), the company informed stock exchanges Tuesday.
The company will file its objections before the dispute resolution panel, according to the exchange filing. There is no impact on financial, operation or other activities of the company due to this draft assessment order, it said.
The company had reported a net profit of INR 37.94 billion for the December quarter on a revenue of INR 498.92 billion. Shares of the company closed 1.7% higher at INR 12,972 on the National Stock Exchange. End
