Infosys to expand Mohali Development Center in Punjab by 350,000 square feet

NEW DELHI – Information technology services major Infosys Ltd. is expanding its Mohali Development Center in Punjab by 350,000 square feet with the establishment of a new software development block and supporting facilities. It will seat about 3,000 employees and strengthen the company's ability to design, co-create, and deploy AI-led solutions at enterprise scale, Infosys said in a press release. The company held a formal groundbreaking ceremony at the campus Thursday.
The expansion is expected to entail an investment of INR 3 billion, Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora had said last year.
The current operations at Mohali, with close to 1,000 employees, deliver advanced digital services to global clients across key sectors, including banking, financial services and insurance, retail, and healthcare. The expanded campus will further enhance Infosys' capabilities in cloud, artificial intelligence, application development, and digital transformation, as per the release.
For the quarter ended December, Infosys reported a consolidated net profit of INR 66.54 billion on a revenue of INR 454.79 billion. At 1201 IST, shares of the company traded flat at INR 1,277.60 on the National Stock Exchange. End
