Avenue Supermarts opens 8 stores on Sunday; total store count rises to 461

MUMBAI – Avenue Supermarts Ltd. opened eight stores on Sunday--one each in Gujarat, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Telangana, and Goa. With this, its total store count has risen to 461, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company has added 19 stores so far this year. At the end of the December quarter, the company had 442 stores. For the quarter ended December, the company reported a net profit of INR 9.23 billion on a revenue of INR 176.13 billion. On Friday, its shares closed at INR 3,875.80 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1% from the previous close. End
