MUMBAI – Cera Sanitaryware Ltd. said its gas supplier Sabarmati Gas will limit supply to 50% of daily contracted quantity from Friday. This is likely due to hit to gas supply from West Asia following the hostilities between the US and Iran, which has pushed several energy companies to halt their operations.

Cera assured it has "optimum" inventory levels and dispatches continue as usual. The company pointed out that it has gas supply arrangement with GAIL as well and that the business operations will not be impacted as of now. However, GAIL, in a separate filing, said it is assessing if it needs to cut gas supply to customers as their own supply from West Asia has been hit.

For the quarter ended December, Cera Sanitaryware reported a net profit of INR 236.70 million on a revenue of INR 4.99 billion. At 1222 IST, its shares traded at INR 4,734.70 on the National Stock Exchange, down more than 1%.  End
