NEW DELHI – JSW Infrastructure Ltd. Tuesday said one of its 15 storage tanks at the Fujairah Liquid Terminal on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates was damaged after debris from an intercepted drone fell within the facility. Many regions in West Asia have been embroiled in a military conflict after the US and Israel attacked Iran late last week.
"Immediately upon detecting the debris impact, all emergency response procedures were activated in line with established safety protocols. Local authorities and the company's onsite safety teams acted swiftly, ensuring the situation remained fully contained," JSW Infra said in an exchange filing. No injuries have been reported so far.
The company has secured the remaining 14 tanks and said the facility is adequately insured. "A thorough technical assessment is underway to evaluate the structural impact and determine the restoration plan," the company said.
JSW Infra had reported consolidated net profit of INR 3.59 billion for the December quarter on revenues of INR 13.50 billion. Monday, the company's shares ended 1.2% lower at INR 251.70 on the National Stock Exchange. End
