Force Motors' Feb exports down 18%, domestic sales up 9% on year

MUMBAI – Force Motors Ltd.'s automobile exports declined sharply on year in February even as total domestic sales rose. The company exported 65 vehicles in February, down almost 18% on year. Its domestic sales, however, grew almost 9% on year to 3,825 units from 3,521 a year ago. The automaker's total February sales were up 8.1% on year at 3,890 units.
The company sells small and light commercial vehicles, utility vehicles, and sport utility vehicles. For the December quarter, it had reported a net profit of INR 4.03 billion on a revenue of INR 21.28 billion. At 1528 IST, shares of Force Motors were down nearly 4% at INR 23,400 on the National Stock Exchange. End
