Ola Electric announces financial sops for existing customers to push sales

AHMEDABAD – Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. has launched a financial incentive programme called "Ola Insiders" for its existing customer base of 1 million to upgrade their existing Ola vehicle and provide referrals, the company said in a filing with the stock exchanges Sunday.
As per the filing, customers who bought the first generation and second generation Ola models can upgrade to the third generation scooters and Roadster motorcycles with benefits of up to INR 50,000. They will also be entitled to an add-on Ola at a discount of up to INR 20,000 and for a referral benefit of up to INR 5,000 in Ola credits for referring friends. The referred buyer will receive a cashback of INR 1,000.
For the December quarter, on a consolidated basis, Ola Electric's net loss was INR 4.87 billion on a revenue of INR 4.70 billion. Friday, the company's shares closed slightly higher at INR 25.22 on the National Stock Exchange. End
