NEW DELHI – Hero MotoCorp Ltd. sold 558,216 two-wheelers in February, up 44% on year, the strongest growth reported by the company since May 2022, according to an exchange filing Sunday. Its sales registrations as per the Vahan database grew 18% on year to 458,346 units in February, the company said.

 

"The strong performance in February 2026 was driven by continued momentum in the Scooter segment, supported by growing consumer preference for new and refreshed models like Xoom and Destini," the company said. "The 100cc–125cc segment recorded an impressive growth, providing a substantial boost to overall volumes."


Hero MotoCorp sold 516,968 two-wheelers in India in February, up 45% on year, and 41,248 units overseas, up 34% on year. In Apr-Feb, it sold 5.51 million two-wheelers in India, up 8% on year. Its exports for the 11-month period grew to 357,093 units, up 44% on year. "This growth, across all its international markets, was primarily driven by a positive consumer response to the company's premium portfolio," Hero MotoCorp said.

 

In Apr-Feb, the company's overall sales stood at 5.9 million units, up almost 10% on year.

 

The company sold 499,756 motorcycles in February, up 42% on year. Scooter sales grew 64% on year to 58,460 units. Vahan registrations of its electric two-wheeler portfolio under Hero Vida stood at 12,514 units.

 

The Splendor maker had reported a net profit of INR 13.49 billion for the December quarter, up 12% on year, on a revenue of INR 123.28 billion, up nearly 21% on year. Friday, its shares had closed 1.3% lower at INR 5,710 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
