NEW DELHI – Escorts Kubota Ltd. Sunday said its tractor wholesale sales in February jumped 20% on year to 10,339 units, primarily due to a robust performance in India even as exports dipped. The company sold 9,725 tractors in India last month, up 22% on year. Its exports, however, fell 1.3% on year to 614 units.
"The domestic tractor industry experienced continued growth in February 2026, fueled by a combination of factors including positive rural sentiment, heightened farm activity, favorable government policies, GST reduction, and a promising outlook for the Rabi season," the company said in an exchange filing. "These conditions are expected to persist in the upcoming months, further boosting the industry's momentum," it said. In Apr-Feb, the company sold 121,551 tractors, up 17% on year.
Sales of the company's construction equipment grew 5% on year to 588 units in February. "In February 2026, the CE industry experienced a steady increase in volumes, pointing towards continued growth in the near future," the company said. "This positive trend is expected to be sustained by recent project awards, focus on execution speed, and anticipated growth in government spending in the coming year." In Apr-Feb, the company's construction equipment despatches were down 14% on year to 5,029 units.
Escorts Kubota had reported a net profit of INR 3.62 billion for the December quarter on a revenue of INR 32.61 billion. Friday, its shares had ended 2.3% lower on the National Stock Exchange at INR 3,518.60. End
