--Lupin gets US FDA approval for brivaracetam oral solution 

 

MUMBAI – Lupin Ltd. has begun the process to launch brivaracetam oral solution in the US after getting approval from the US Food and Drug Administration. The company has got the approval to sell the drug in strength of 10 milligrams per milliliter, Lupin said on Tuesday.

 

Brivaracetam is used to treat partial-onset seizures in patients older than one month. The drug had estimated sales of $135 million in the US in 2025, the company said.

 

For the December quarter, Lupin's consolidated net profit was INR 11.76 billion on revenue of INR 71.68 billion. Tuesday, shares of the company closed at INR 2,250.20 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.4%.  End
