Prestige Estate signs INR-1.15-bln deal with Bangalore Metro Rail Corp

MUMBAI – Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. Monday said it has signed an agreement with Bangalore Metro Rail Corp. Ltd. to adopt and co-brand Bellandur Metro Station as Prestige Bellandur Metro Station. Prestige Beta Projects Pvt. Ltd. will invest INR 1.15 billion to upgrade, enhance, and improve the infrastructure of the station. 

 

Prestige Beta Projects is a special purpose vehicle incorporated to develop Prestige Lakeshore Drive. The company is owned by Blackstone group, Prestige Group, and Sterling Group. 

 

Under this agreement, Prestige Estates Projects will get a commercial space of 3,000 square feet within the station, advertising space of 1,000 square feet, and naming rights of the station for 30 years. The company will also get provision to build a connectivity bridge to Prestige Lakeshore Drive. 

 

Prestige Estates Projects' net profit for the December quarter was INR 2.23 billion on revenues of INR 38.73 billion. At 1123 IST, the shares of the company traded at INR 1,487.40 on the National Stock Exchange, up marginally.
