MUMBAI – NHPC Ltd.'s board has approved two hydroelectric projects in Jammu and Kashmir with an estimated cost of over INR 57 billion, the company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday. The two projects, namely Uri-I and Dulhasti, will have a combined capacity of 500 megawatt.
The Uri project is expected to be completed for INR 27.09 billion and will have a capacity of 240 MW. The Dulhasti project is expected to be completed for INR 29.94 billion and have a capacity of 260 MW.
For the December quarter, the company's net profit was INR 2.93 billion on a revenue of INR 18.77 billion. Friday, shares of the company closed slightly higher at INR 74.47 on the National Stock Exchange. End
