MUMBAI – Shares of cement producers are seen higher next week as infrastructure activity is expected to increase going forward with the winter season coming to an end. Brokerages expect cement prices to rise as demand improves and as a result, aid March quarter earnings.
"As the industry enters its seasonally strong construction period, we expect our coverage companies to report robust volume growth in Q4 driven by momentum in infrastructure, and rural housing," Systematix Shares and Stocks (India) said in a report on Thursday.
Brokerages said cement companies managed to raise prices in January and they are expected to rise more in the coming months. "Non-trade prices have improved by INR 15–20/bag across regions in Jan-26 (the price cuts reported in Q3FY26 have largely been reversed)," Nuvama Wealth Management said in a report Tuesday. "Industry is anticipating further improvement in pricing as demand is healthy in Q4FY26."
Cement stocks were mixed this week, with JK Cement, Sagar Cement, and Shree Cement up 1-3%. On the other hand, shares of India Cements, Dalmia Bharat, and Ultratech Cement were down 1.5-4.0%. Shares of most cement companies are down in 2026, with Andhra Cement down more than 16%.
