HYDERABAD – Inox Green Energy Services Ltd. on Thursday said INOXGFL group has emerged the successful bidder for the acquisition of Wind World India's independent power-producing assets and operations and maintenance businesses through the National Company Law Tribunal-approved resolution process. The acquisition will be undertaken by Inox Clean Energy Ltd. through its subsidiary Inox Neo Energies and Inox Green Energy Services Ltd., the company said in a press release.
Under the transaction, Inox Clean Energy, through Inox Neo Energies, will acquire Wind World India's operational wind power producing portfolio of approximately 600 megawatts. Inox Green Energy Services will acquire Wind World India's wind operations and maintenance business with a portfolio of nearly 4.5 gigawatts.
Wind World India's 600 megawatt wind power capacity is spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. Its operations and maintenance portfolio services clients including Tata group, ReNew, Greenko, Apraava Energy and Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
Post-acquisition, Inox Clean Energy will add 600 megawatts of operational wind capacity to its portfolio. The company has outlined medium-term targets of 10 gigawatt installed power generation capacity and 11 gigawatt integrated solar manufacturing capacity by 2027-28 (Apr-Mar). Inox Green Energy Services currently manages approximately 13.3 gigawatt of renewable assets.
At 0925 IST, Inox Green Energy Services shares were trading at INR 181.70 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 4% from the previous close. End
