BEML to invest INR 15 bln on greenfield rail mfg facility in Madhya Pradesh

MUMBAI – BEML Ltd. will invest around INR 15 billion on greenfield rail manufacturing facility at Umariya, Madhya Pradesh. The company plans to fund the project through long-term debt and expects to complete it in phases across five years.
For the quarter ended December, BEML reported a net loss of INR 227 million on a revenue of INR 10.83 billion. Friday, the company's shares closed at INR 1,617.40 on the National Stock Exchange, down 7.4%. End
